Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is located 24km from the centre of Kuching. This orangutan rehabilitation centre trains orphaned or rescued orangutans how to survive in the wild. Over 20 orangutans live in forest within the nature reserve and often return to the centre at feeding times. Annah Rais is one of the most famous Bidayuh longhouse in Sarawak, which located about 100 km east from Kuching City and quite close to the Indonesian border.  During your visit, you will also be able to view the villagers with their own daily routine like rice pounding and winnowing, basket and mat weaving, bamboo carving, etc. A walk through the well laid-out trail will reveal you the various crocodile holding pond and other animal cages, bearded wild boar, the sun bear and also a number of birds species at Jong's Crocodile Farm. The farm provides a perfect sanctuary for the reptiles, saving the species from extinction. There are huge and deep concrete ponds and natural breeding grounds for the crocodiles to mate and multiply.Visitors are able to gaze at the snapping jaws, cold menacing eyes, sharp pointed teeth and powerful lashing tails of the crocs within short distance yet safe because of the metal fence.
