    The Sinaia Monastery is a religious masterpiece of the orthodoxy, built by the Prince Cantacuzino in the 19th century. The Monastery also helds an exhibition of valuable objects that belonged to the Cantacuzino family, as well as the first Romanian translation of the Bible from the 17th century. Formed as a complex with two churches, the monastery is designed in a Byzantine style.

    The Bear Sanctuary from Zarnesti was founded in the memory of the famous bear Maya that was held in a small cage, in horrible conditions in the Bran Castle. The founders of the sanctuary promissed to help as many bears as posible in order to save them from the conditions that Maya went through. The reservation saved the lives of 100 bears rescued from captivity that currently live there. It is the only reservation from Romania, and the largest reservation of brown bears from the world. Take your time to visit the reservation and see the bears in the place that they belong to.

    Located near the Clock Tower and The Citadel of Sighisoara, it is the house in which Vlad the Impaler was born, in the period of the Turkish invasion, when the ruller of Wallachia, Vlad Dracul and his wife were hosted by the mayor of Sighisoara. It has been said that the monument is the oldest stone building from the city. Nowadays, it hosts a museum and a medieval-style restaurant.
