Angkor Wat is a Hindu temple complex in Cambodia. Located on a site measuring 162.6 hectares within the ancient Khmer capital city of Angkor, it was originally constructed in 1150 CE as a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Vishnu.

The Angkor Thom South Gate is one of the five main, best-preserved gateways to the ancient city, known for its 12th-century architecture built by King Jayavarman VII. It serves as a popular and impressive entrance, featuring a causeway lined with statues of gods (\(devas\)) and demons (\(asuras\)) pulling a seven-headed \(naga\), a central tower with Bayon-style faces, and large elephant statues at the entrance. It's a major tourist stop, especially because it lies on the main route between Angkor Wat and the Bayon Temple.

Ta Prohm is the modern name of a temple near the city of Siem Reap, Cambodia, approximately one kilometre east of Angkor Thom and on the southern edge of the East Baray. It was built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th century and early 13th century and was originally called Rajavihara.

Banteay Kdei is. 'A Citadel of Chambers'), also known as "Citadel of Monks' cells",is a Buddhist temple in Angkor, Cambodia. It is located southeast of Ta Prohm and east of Angkor Thom. Built in the mid-12th to early 13th centuries AD during the reign of Jayavarman VII (who was posthumously given the title "Maha paramasangata pada"), it is in the Bayon architectural style, similar in plan to Ta Prohm and Preah Khan, but less complex and smaller.

Banteay Srei is unique for its pink sandstone construction and exceptionally intricate and delicate carvings, which have earned it the nickname "Jewel of Khmer Art" and the "Citadel of Women". Unlike many other Angkor temples, it is smaller in scale and was not commissioned by a king but by a courtier.

Kulen Mountain is unique for being the birthplace of the Khmer Empire, where King Jayavarman II declared independence in 802 CE. Its sacred significance is highlighted by its large reclining Buddha, sacred waterfalls, and over a thousand ancient Hindu carvings, including lingas, etched into the riverbed. It is also an important site for biodiversity and a crucial water source for the Siem Reap region.

In Beng Mealea, you see a sprawling, largely unrestored temple complex famously known as a "jungle temple" due to massive tree roots intertwining with its sandstone structures. Visitors can see the impressive scale of the ruins, including a central sanctuary, three surrounding galleries, and a long causeway with intricate carvings like naga (serpent) balustrades. The site is characterized by a surreal landscape of collapsed walls and stones piled in heaps, often compared to a movie set, with a wooden walkway providing guided access.
