A popular local tradition is to view the scenery upside down by bending forward and looking through your legs, creating a unique and playful perspective of this famous landscape. During your visit, you may take the ropeway or monorail up to Amanohashidate View Land (ticket not included, approx. JPY 1000) for a panoramic observation of the sandbar and surrounding bay, where the landscape resembles a dragon ascending into the sky. Optional ferry tickets are available (Adults JPY 1200 / Children JPY 600), offering a closer view of the boathouses from the water, along with seagull feeding experiences (JPY 100 per bag).
