Choose between a scenic walk or opt for a funicular ride (additional cost) to reach South Africa's third oldest lighthouse. Marvel at the 360-degree panoramic views of the national park from this historic vantage point. The original lighthouse, launched in 1860, served for 40 years before being decommissioned due to its high altitude, which proved hazardous for sailors in cloudy weather. A new lighthouse, strategically located at a lower altitude, now stands in its place.

These days, Muizenberg is primarily known for its lengthy stretch of white sand beach, consistent surf breaks, and vibrant beach cottages. In addition, it's a bohemian haven with a good number of independent shops and art galleries. "The surfers corner" is another name for Muizenberg Beach.
