At 7:30am, your professional hiking and historian tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for the Great Wall hiking from Jiankou to Mutianyu. After a 2-hour drive, you will first arrive at Jiankou Great Wall, an unrestored and untouched wild Wall. Jiankou has more twists and turns as it wriggles up the mountain ridge. It has retained its original state without any restoration, and reveals beautiful imperfections, wildness and primitive simplicity, it's regarded as the most precipitous and picturesque section of the Great Wall which was built during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644).

After 3 hours hiking accomanied by your tour guide, you will reach to Mutianyu Great Wall, the longest fully-restored section open to tourists. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. After a long hiking, you can choose to take a cable car down or slid down by toboggan (at your own expense). Or simply walk down. Then enjoy a tasty lunch at a nice local restaurant.
