After a short drive through the historic streets of Rome, you will arrive at the Colosseum, where you will meet your knowledgeable guide. The Colosseum, or Flavian Amphitheatre, is the largest ancient amphitheater and a symbol of Imperial Rome. Built between 70 and 80 AD, it hosted gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, and executions, accommodating 50,000 to 80,000 spectators based on social rank. Made of travertine limestone, this four-story elliptical structure features a complex system of vaults and arches.

The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has wheelchair paths. Please note that the pathway from the Sistine Chapel to St Peter’s Basilica has 50 steps downwards and is not wheelchair accessible. The tour can continue to the Basilica only if all members of your private group can walk down the stairs, but, for safety reasons, it is not possible to carry wheelchairs and walkers down the stairs. If your private group includes participants with reduced mobility, we can still bring you to the Basilica, going back to the Museum's entrance and reaching it from the outside with the car. Also, note that other participants in your group will have to take charge of pushing the wheelchair.
